Every ship has its lookout in the crow’s nest… but Captain Pika’s crew whispered of another watchman — one who never slept, never ate, and never spoke. Known as The Shadow of the Black Mast, this hooded figure appeared only in the darkest nights, gliding across the deck without a sound, its face hidden deep within its tattered hood.

Sailors claimed it was the spirit of a long-dead quartermaster, bound to Pika by a blood oath to guard his treasure for eternity. When enemy ships approached under moonless skies, the Shadow would stand at the bow, its presence alone enough to chill a man’s bones. And when battle came, those who saw its empty hood staring at them swore they could feel the cold pull of the deep.
